WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature & Earth Hour
WWF is the world's largest conservation organization working in more than 100 countries.
Started as a symbolic lights-out campaign in Sydney (Australia) in 2007, WWF’s Earth Hour has grown to become the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment - largely focused on climate change - mobilizing millions to take climate action in 187 countries and territories. Now in its eleventh year, Earth Hour has gone beyond the hour and achieved massive environmental impacts around the world by harnessing the power of the crowd.
Major Function:
This role is part of the Brand & Comms team at WWF International Communications and Marketing Division based in Singapore, reporting to Head of Brand.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the WWF International team with video production requests and help our dynamic on-the- ground WWF offices to create better videos
- Assist the Digital Team with video contents and create short text/visual clips as digital engagement contents on our global social platforms (Both WWF and EH global social platforms exceed millions of followers)
- Help with editing videos for our Earth Hour celebrations around the world
- Communicate and liaise with WWF and Earth Hour country teams across the world to gather potential stories to produce compelling video contents
- Contribute to editing and planning of the annual Earth Hour music video production
- Filming key influencers / spokespeople when needed
- Creating briefs to get local teams to produce ‘crowdsourced’ videos
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Very familiar with Final Cut Pro video editing software and have the capability to film
- Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must along with the maturity to work in a global, multi cultural environment.
- Willingness to learn about the global Earth Hour campaign and conservation goals of WWF
