Volvo East Asia (Pte) Ltd – Intern (Sales Order Planning & Delivery – GTA & JVs)

Purpose of the job:

• In this role, the intern will learn about Volvo Group values and working culture. He/ She will also gain understanding about overall truck industry and demand planning process.
• He/ She will support in implementing new demand planning tool, streamline processes and reports to improve data accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of GTA organization.
• To contribute towards improving presentation and communication within Group Trucks Asia organisation.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Support SOP&D team to implement new Demand planning tool across GTAS.
• Develop master database for inventory planning, and synergise multiple reports to improve data analytics for S&OP team.
• Work with cross-functional teams with VSM and GTA organization to perform competitor analysis within markets of GTAS.
• Benchmark GTA vs. competitors for production capacity and delivery lead time.

Requirements:

• Willingness to learn and interest in automotive industry
• A self-starter, highly motivated, “get-the-job-done” attitude
• Advance knowledge of MS office. Preferably expert in Excel with Marcos and coding skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interest in sales and marketing operations
• Fluency in English

Education:

• Undergraduates pursuing Bachelor Degree in Engineering from any specialization (automotive, mechanical & aerospace, electrical & electronics and computer)
• Knowledge of data analysis and coding
