Launched in September 1993 by Singapore’s Ambassador-at-Large and VSA Patron, Professor Tommy Koh, Very Special Arts Singapore is a local charity organisation dedicated to providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be involved in the arts. For the past 25 years, VSA Singapore has been running successful art programmes, workshops, competitions and art exhibitions for the special needs community, creating awareness among members of the public of their immense talent and resilience.

Through our programmes, we:

  1. Promote the educational, social, rehabilitative and therapeutic benefits of visual, performing and literary arts;

  2. Integrate individuals with disabilities into mainstream society through the arts; and

  3. Assist them in obtaining financial independence through arts and arts-creation.

Job Description

Internship Opportunity with Very Special Arts Singapore

As an intern in the Fundraising & Business Development team, you will be required to work on the following:

a. Assist in organizing fundraising events and activities;
b. Assist in coordinating of business development projects such as commission work, sales of painting, exhibitions, etc.
c. Handle admin matters such as data entry, prepare invoices and payments, etc. d. Other related work, such as preparing publicity and marketing collateral for fundraising & business development projects. 

The ideal candidate should:

1. Have a passion for arts and making an impact to the lives of people with disabilities. 

2. Have good communication skills and be savvy in social media;

3. Be meticulous and have good administrative skills. 

4. Have experience in basic video editing and graphic design skills; 

5. Be caring, open-minded, and willing to go the extra mile.

For this position, the minimum educational qualification is a Diploma in any discipline.
