Job Description

Position: Counsellor / Trainee Psychologist Location: Singapore (Hybrid / On-site depending on caseload) Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time (Negotiable)

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and empathetic mental health professionals to join our growing team. As a Counsellor or Trainee Psychologist at TherapistSG, you will deliver evidence-based therapeutic services while being supported by a collaborative and clinically strong environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couple, or family counselling using evidence-based approaches.

  • Conduct psychological assessments (depending on training and qualification).

  • Maintain accurate clinical records following professional and ethical guidelines.

  • Develop treatment plans and track client progress over time.

  • Participate in case discussions, clinical supervision, and team meetings.

  • Contribute to workshops, outreach initiatives, or psychoeducation content when needed.

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards in all client work.

Requirements — Counsellor

  • Master’s Degree in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or a related field.

  • Relevant practicum or clinical experience in counselling settings.

  • Strong grounding in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, ACT, SFBT, Person-Centered Therapy).

  • Excellent communication, empathy, and professional boundaries.

Requirements — Trainee Psychologist

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s in Psychology or Clinical Psychology.

  • Training in psychological assessment tools is a plus.

  • Strong commitment to learning, supervision, and clinical development.

  • Ability to work independently while being open to feedback and guidance.
