We are looking for an Events Intern to join us
Events form a crucial component of The Working Capitol, defined by beautiful, configurable spaces and an on-site team that specialises in seamless management. From thought-leadership platforms and skill-building workshops to wellness sessions and arts & culture experiences, TWC plays host to a range of events for its community and beyond.
On a typical day:
As Events Intern, you will be tasked with quickly learning our processes and procedures in order to support the wider team in all aspects of planning and executing experiences for private clients and members. You will contribute to the development of a varied calendar of events for our communities and will be a key figure in their flawless execution on a regular basis. Key to this role will be the ability to focus on detailed planning across events and venues, supporting the team with thorough lead tracking and coordination of sales reports and a friendly professional manner that immediately puts clients at ease, even under pressure. Within The Working Capitol, the Events team work cross functionally with almost every other department, so it’s a great way to get to know the company and develop interpersonal skills to get the results you need.
Quickly Become a Reliable Team Member
- Learn our sales platforms and tracking procedures, quickly become confident with all aspects of tracking, sales projections and reporting
- Help to manage the calendar of events across TWC’s venues, work with event partners and caterers to ensure smooth delivery at all times
- Build relationships with clients, members, partners and vendors, manage their enquiries and events requirements
Work Across TWC Teams
- Work with Marketing to plan and execute accurate and timely communications for events where necessary. Approve design collateral and make sure its visible to member community through the various marketing channels.
- Work closely with Community Team to support the member event programme where needed
- Be a confident presence in front of clients at events, be able to solve any last-minute issues quickly and professionally with a minimum of fuss.

- You are practical, not afraid to get your hands dirty and always willing to help.
- You are a confident user of Excel in particular, can create a dazzling graph from a data sheet without breaking a sweat.

- You can adapt to new platforms quickly.
- You are resourceful and calm under pressure.
Previous live event experience is a bonus as is a history of selling and a level of confidence using Excel for tracking, projections and preparing management reports. You must be keen to learn the core business of events, from planning to execution. You will quickly become responsible for chasing leads and closing confirmations, so confidence dealing with a variety of new people on a regular basis, by email, phone and face to face, is a must.
