Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of novel agricultural products .
- Work closely with senior scientists in developing new pesticide formulations which includes herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides.
- Participate in all phases of formulation including planning, preparation, compatibility of active ingredients, stability of finished formulation and report writing.
- Perform relevant application methods to evaluate the performance of the product to benchmark against market products.
- You will be responsible for documenting and interpreting data in order to support conclusions with minimal supervision.
- Must meet deadlines to complete the TSR projects.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Good communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and computer skills to complete the projects and to present the results in power-point as a marketing tool.
Learning outcome and deliverables:
- Results, discussion & conclusion: Students will be required to report the results they generated if they could suggest on improvement on the formulations or evaluation, it would be even better. At the end of the internship, they are required to write report and do oral presentation in Stepan R&D.
Specific requirement:
- Must be on Degree internship with Science / Chemistry background.
- Should be willing and easy going to take and work on instructions coming from chemists.
- Should know how to write or manage technical data he or she would generate.
- Should know to operate basic analytical equipment like pH meter balances ovens.
- Preparing specimens and samples
- No skin allergies and other conditions
