Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Life Insurance domain and hands-on experience with the LifeAsia policy administration system.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Life Insurance operations in the Singapore/APAC region.
- Work closely with functional and technical teams on LifeAsia (IFAS) implementations, upgrades, and customizations.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
- Conduct gap analysis between current business processes and LifeAsia system capabilities.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and architects to ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Lead and facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Support end-to-end testing cycles including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
- Manage traceability matrices and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Liaise with insurance regulators and ensure compliance with MAS guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
- Support data migration activities and validate data integrity during system transitions.
- Drive process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and digitization.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Life Insurance products including Individual Life, Group Life, Annuities, and Health.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 7–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Life Insurance domain.
- Hands-on functional experience with LifeAsia (IFAS) policy administration system is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Life Insurance products and processes:
- Policy issuance, underwriting, and endorsements
- Claims processing and settlements
- Reinsurance and actuarial concepts
- Renewal, lapse, and surrender processing
- Commission management and agent operations
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and IT.
