SRO is responsible for place management of the entire Singapore River precinct – including Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay. It is the intent of SRO that the river is managed as one precinct – one destination – with specialized programs and service delivery methods.
The intern will work closely with Place Management team together with Singapore River stakeholders, public sector agencies and service providers to ensure that Singapore River One’s (SRO) business plan is delivered in a professional, transparent and cost effective manner.
The Intern reports directly to the Place Management team with the following main functions:
- Managing relationships with stakeholders involved in SRO including members, public agencies and service providers.
- Assist in Boat Quay’s master licensor matters – anti-littering, standardization of signages etc.
- Implementing projects involving physical enhancements to the River’s built environment and assist with measuring the key performance indicators set in the 4-year business plan.
- Assisting the Executive Director and other staff in implementing projects and any other reasonable activities as required by SRO.
You'll learn how to manage the different stakeholder across Singapore River and operational aspects of managing a tourist destination.
Requirements
· Relevant experience in operational roles
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Strong writing and communication skills
· Self-motivated, a good team player in a small office setting
· Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
