Project Description
Volunteerism plays a key role in enabling community support and enhancing SG Enable’s service delivery for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.
The Volunteerism Intern will support the team's implementation in volunteerism programmes, with a focus on enhancing the iChamps (Inclusion Champions) engagement framework, and improving the overall volunteer experience.
This role offers valuable exposure to volunteer management, community partnerships, and strategic engagement work in the disability inclusion sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Support in the iChamps Engagement
- Assist in implementing a framework for iChamps (Inclusion Champions) engagement (including curation and mapping of key platforms, i.e. flagship and national level events for participation, planning and logistics of training activities)
- Support the development of a presentation deck and talking points for iChamps’ public engagements, ensuring alignment with SG Enable’s key messages and event-specific needs.
- Assist in the onboarding of identified iChamps as third-party advocates, including one-on-one engagement, training documentation, and feedback collation.
- Support in the tracking of related KPIs for impact reporting.
Volunteerism Systems and Operations
- Support the development of the Enabling Volunteers webpage, including content gathering, volunteer recognition features, and platform testing.
- Provide administrative support in the review and update of volunteerism policies and SOPs
Event and Stakeholder Support
- Support in the preparation and coordination of events
- Conduct desktop research on good practices in volunteer management and inclusive engagement, including skilled volunteerism potential within SG Enable.
Requirements
- Open to university/poly undergraduates in any discipline, preferably with an interest in business, communications, and/or social sciences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills with a flair for writing
- Ability to contribute as part of a team, while working independently on individual responsibilities with minimum supervision
