Role Overview
We are looking for a creative and user-focused UI/UX Design Intern to join our product team. You will be responsible for designing intuitive, visually engaging, and user-friendly mobile app interfaces for our flagship RizqX investment platform.
This internship is ideal for polytechnic students or fresh graduates who are currently pursuing or have completed a diploma in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media, or related fields. A basic portfolio showcasing prior mobile app projects (school or personal) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the product and tech teams to design and refine the user experience for our mobile app
Develop wireframes, user flows, mockups, and high-fidelity UI designs using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD
Apply user-centred design principles to improve navigation, usability, and interface responsiveness
Conduct basic user research and testing to validate design assumptions and iterate based on feedback
Maintain a consistent visual identity aligned with RizqX’s brand and values
What We’re Looking For
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a polytechnic diploma programme in UI/UX Design, Digital Media, Interaction Design, or a related discipline
Basic understanding of mobile app design principles (iOS/Android)
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent
A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating UI/UX design for digital products (preferably mobile-first)
Strong eye for visual design, layout, typography, and colour
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a startup environment
Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Great to Have)
Familiarity with prototyping tools or light animation (e.g. Principle, Framer)
Experience working with design systems or mobile UI kits
Awareness of Islamic fintech or ethical investing (we’ll guide you if not!)
