Ramboll Singapore Pte. Ltd. – Junior Graphics Designer

We are looking for a passionate, creative, “out-of-the-box” thinker to join our SMART Technologies team, to create powerful, engaging graphics for our business.

Ramboll is the 7th largest engineering consultancy globally and we opened the Singapore office in 2014. The team in the office have a wide range of roles, from structural engineering, building services, SMART consultancy and project management. Since establishing ourselves in Singapore, we have also delivered a wide range of projects, from skyscrapers, to timber buildings, to modular structures, to airport work. And we’re continuing our growth!

In your role, you shall be positioned within our exciting SMART Technologies team, which takes the very latest technology innovations and turn these into some of the most awesome and advanced facilities in the world. Working alongside the technical team, you shall be responsible for turning our ideas into exciting graphics to communicate to non-technical stakeholders. You should be able to conceptualise and develop graphical approaches, and be fluent in graphics packages such as Photoshop, Inkscape, GIMP. In addition, you should be willing to stretch your knowledge beyond your job scope and develop a basic understanding of the work undertaken by the office, and support our marketing team, to produce materials.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Routinely serve as technical advisors and provide guidance to the SMART technology team on strategies to reach a particular audienceCreate engaging graphics to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of people.
• Conceptualisation of graphics strategy
• Work with the technical teams and clients to refine ideas and approach
• Overall graphic leader of company’s projects.
• Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of graphical principles and practices to projects.
• Develop high impact graphical content that conveys a message or idea.
• Select colors, images, text style, and layout.
• Incorporate changes recommended by the team and client into the final design.
• Reports to Head of Department.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• Should have an idea of SMART technology, otherwise must be able to conduct research.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in graphic design.
• Knowledge and experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, MSProject, powerpoint); Sketch; Perspective; Google SketchUp; or equivalent softwares.
• Must be experienced in graphic design for concept illustration.
• Must be experienced and literate in graphic in motion.
• Ability to coordinate with other team members. Knowledge and instruction of relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions of their specific discipline.
• Fluency in graphics packages such as, Photoshop, Inkscape, GIMP
