Job Description

Pilgrim Partners Asia (Pte.) Ltd is looking for a Web Developer Intern to design and implement web applications according to our company's needs.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team and to gain exposure to the hedge fund industry. As an intern at our company, you will work as part of our development team. You should also be able to work independently, have a strong passion in financial markets and have a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement web applications using an existing framework in mainly PHP, MySQL, Javascript.
  • Gather and refine specifications and client requirements based on technical needs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  • Evaluate existing applications to update and add new features.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a web developer with working knowledge in some technologies like WordPress, Drupal or AngularJS.
  • Diploma/Degree/Certification in Information Technology or related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to write code in PHP and MySQL.
  • Adequate understanding in concepts like MVC, web security and session management.
  • Familiarity with Unix and source control is advantageous.
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
