One More Turn is the brainchild of two passionate storytellers who believe in the power of video as both an art form and a vehicle to convey ideas and stories, from script to screen. Specialising in crafting branded content for online platforms, One More Turn is fuelled by a relentless pursuit to discover, create and tell stories that matter to you.
We're looking for a passionate and self-motivated individual who is interested in the technical aspects of video and film production. If you have an interest in filmmaking and visual storytelling, and appreciate the work needed to take an idea from the storyboard to the screen, we'd like to work with you.
You will be placed in either the lighting or camera department as a Junior Grip or Junior Camera Assistant, or a combination of the two, on a project-to-project basis. There, you'll work on projects ranging from small corporate shoots with crews of 2-4 people, to larger TVCs with crews of up to 20 individuals.
This is not a full-time listing, and you will be free to pursue other freelance opportunities. We will be happy to advise on managing your career as a freelancer should you need it.
NOTE: Video production takes place in a fast-paced and high stress environment, that often involves significant physical exertion. If you are averse to heavy lifting or have an extenuating physical condition please do not apply for this position.
Your responsibilities will be as follows:
Junior Grip:
- Handle and operate production lights.
- Handle and operate equipment that supports lighting rigs, such as C-Stands, Light Stands and Sandbags.
- Handle and operate equipment that modifies and controls light, such as Colored Gels, Reflectors and Flags.
- Handle and operate equipment that supports cameras, such as Dollies and Tracks.
- Cable and electrical management.
- Collect and return rental equipment.
Junior Camera Assistant:
- Basic focus pulling.
- Camera log management.
- Handle and operate camera equipment, including lenses and filters.
- Handle and operate equipment that supports cameras, such as tripods and dollies.
- Build and maintain a functional Camera Rig.
- Battery management (charging & maintaining supply).
- Cable and electrical management.
- Collect and return rental equipment.
You will be paid as a freelancer on a per-day basis, starting from $80/day to $250/day depending on performance, ability and synergy with the team.
