OM Materials (S) Pte Ltd (“OMS”) is the Group’s marketing and procurement hub that operates out of Singapore.
With a long history of marketing ores and ferroalloys, OMS possesses an extensive trade network and an edge in connecting raw materials with buyers and users. Originally formed in the 90s focusing on the raw materials trade in China, its scope and range of action has since evolved to a global scale, albeit retaining an Asian focus.
Collectively, the division leverages the economies of scale of the Group’s operations to streamline raw material procurement and product sales. This is made possible by comprehensive product knowledge and a strong operational expertise in international trade execution.

Job responsibilities
You will be exposed to and expected to perform:
- Develop and maintain a structured industry database from sources of varying quality
- Acquire industry knowledge and expertise, and keep updated on industry news
- Work closely with market facing teams, gathering information and discussing themes
- Prepare daily reports on market news, present monthly research pieces
- Model demand and supply, and forecast near and medium term price ranges
- Liaise and work with external consultants and data providers
- Ad-hoc traveling to meet market participants as and when required
Requirements
- Degree in any relevant discipline, demonstrated academic achievements
- Proficient in MS Excel, basic modelling ability with basic exposure to statistics, regression and optimization
- Analytical and strong logical thinker, results orientated
- Self-driven team player, a good listener and good communicator
- Systematic and organized, ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure
- Ability to converse fluently in English and Mandarin to liaise with buyers and sellers, knowledge of a third language an added advantage
