NTUC Income Insurance Co-operative Ltd – Summer Internship 2021 – ELK Developer

As part of the IT shared services team, you are responsible for monitoring enterprise wide ‘continuous monitoring system’ akin to a Site Reliability Engineer. The role will be focusing on application of machine learning technique on log. The candidate must have working experience in Python, R and basic understanding on statistical techniques like hypothesis testing, student-t test, clustering.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Use Machine learning techniques to understand the nature of logs
• Statistical interference on the application, system, network logs to detect any anomalies
• Aggregation – the ability to collect and ship logs from multiple data sources
• Processing – the ability to transform log messages into meaningful data for easier analysis
• Storage – the ability to store data for extended time periods to allow for monitoring, trend analysis, and security use cases
• Analysis – the ability to dissect the data by querying it and creating visualizations and dashboards on top of it
• Daily stat report generation & send to respective team as a daily health check status
• Enhancements to ELK Applications with new features like Alerting based on Application Transaction Logs
• Identify the pattern of loggings and errors
• Elastic API searching techniques
• Heart beat and function beat maintenance
• Application & System Log Analytics to develop Application Performance Metrics
