Motorist, headquartered in Singapore, was founded in 2015, after our founder Damian Sia tried selling his car on his own. As a first-time seller, he encountered many unreasonable offers from unethical buyers who tried to take advantage of his inexperience. The company has also grown from a one-man team to a bustling company with over 90 employees. In 2018, Motorist decided to set its sights on expanding into the APAC market, starting with Malaysia and followed by Thailand in 2022. The company will also be taking its operations beyond vehicle transactions, and focusing on the needs of drivers.

Job Description

We are looking for energetic and passionate individuals to join us as a Sales and Operations intern. The role of a Sales and Operations intern is to assist the organisations sales and growth efforts by contributing to new customer acquisition. The position is open to students who are currently studying in Polytechnics or Universities.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and identify unpenetrated business opportunity within the C2B space

  • Analyse overview of current and pass corporates enquiries

  • Support in writing new business proposals on how to acquire new leads

  • Arrange meetings for team with prospective clients

  • Identify and onboard bidders (Dealerships or rental companies)

  • Identify the gap in current loss and how to improve on our dealer bidding system

  • Identify the gap in consignment C2C sales and how to improve number of listings

  • Identify potential opportunities and derive plan to drive growth

  • Execute and demonstrate feasibility
