MoneyMax Financial Services Ltd – Data Science & Analyst Intern

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Data science & Analyst Intern to join us. This position represents a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of advanced machine learning and strategic business analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support advanced SQL queries to deliver meaningful data insights
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation using Python (Pandas, NumPy).
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business opportunities.
• Assist to develop interactive dashboards and automated reports using Power BI or Metabase.
• Assist to build, train, and validate machine learning models (Regression, Classification) using scikit-learn or PyTorch.
• Perform hyperparameter tuning and model optimization using tools such as Optuna.
• Assist in integrating predictive models into production systems via REST APIs.
• Document model logic, analytical findings, and API specifications using Git and Swagger.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have completed a diploma/degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python OR Node.js.
• Hands-on experience creating dashboards with Power BI or Metabase.
• Solid command of SQL for database management and querying.
• Familiarity with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and backend integration.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Good communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Exposure to Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) would be of advantage
• Interest in FinTech, Credit Risk, or Retail Analytics would be of advantage
