The Milken Institute Asia Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern to support its media relations, content creation, and digital communications efforts. This role offers exposure to always-on marketing and communications activities, with a particular focus on supporting communications for the Milken Institute Asia Summit, the Institute’s annual flagship convening in Asia, which will take place from October 6–9, 2026 in Singapore.
This internship is ideal for candidates interested in building a career in corporate communications, strategic communications, or the nonprofit and policy sectors, and who are eager to gain hands-on experience in the full range of communications work in a fast-paced, globally oriented environment.

The Milken Institute Singapore Internship Program, in partnership with Partners Group, is designed to cultivate the next generation of global leaders entering the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, and philanthropic sectors. Each internship is a customized experience aligned to the intern’s interests and career aspirations, with a strong emphasis on professional development. Interns will have opportunities to:

Key Responsibilities and tasks:
Media Relations
- Develop and maintain media contact lists and databases
- Research and identify relevant journalists and publications for conference invites, media outreach, and proactive pitching
- Monitor relevant local, regional and international news sources for internal media monitoring reports
- Identify relevant media opportunities for Milken Institute’s pool of fellows and experts
- Support the coordination and scheduling of media interviews
Content
- Draft and support the development of a broad range of compelling media materials for traditional and digital channels, including press releases, social media captions, talking points, media pitches, backgrounders, key takeaways, summaries and more
- Assist with digital content creation and community management on LinkedIn (Candidates should preferably be familiar with LinkedIn)
Reporting & Analysis
- Track and report on media and digital performance, including media coverage reports, press clippings, and social media engagement
General/Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day support to the Communications team on projects and ad hoc initiatives
- Conduct desktop research to support communications planning
- Coordinate meetings, manage schedules, and keep stakeholders informed of updates or changes
- Schedule and coordinate meetings and keep participants advised of any changes
- Support communications and wider event operations for conferences (includes both on-site or virtual assistance where required)
Education/Preferred Experience:
- Undergraduate or graduate, , or recent graduate, with a major in Communications, Marketing, Economics, International Relations or a related discipline.
- Prior internship experience in public relations agencies, marketing roles, or in-house communications teams is an advantage
- Familiarity with social media platforms and tools (familiarity with LinkedIn is desirable!)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is an advantage (Ability to translate content between Chinese and English is a bonus.)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working under tight deadlines
- Collaborative team player with a strong sense of initiative
- Calmness under pressure and ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Demonstrated interest in capital markets, geopolitics, economics, finance, technology, and innovation is a plus
- Singaporean national are preferred

Internship Duration
We offer a 4 to 12-month full-time internship (40 hours per week) with flexibility on start and end dates. The ideal candidate should be able to commit to an internship period between July 2026 – December 2026.
