Job Description

DESIGN & MARKETING INTERN

Your role is to support the organisation in designing marketing collaterals / social media posts, representing as a brand ambassador at partner events and/or programmes, and doubling up as a facilitator in secondary school programmes.


Job Details
- Full-Time Student Internship
- Duration: 5 - 6 months
- January 2020 – May / June 2020
- Working Hours: Tuesday - Friday (Core Working Hours: 10:00am to 5:00pm), Sunday (2:00PM - 7:00PM)
Any other programmes outside of the above timings will be compensated with the respective off-in-lieu hours.


Job Description
-  Work across multi-functional teams (Eg. Marketing, Social Media, Research) to design collaterals and social media posts
-  Represent Migrant x Me at programmes with our partner NGOs or migrant worker-related events
-  Plan and execute joint-collaborative events with NGOs
-  Attend all secondary school programmes as a facilitator
-  Support other teams when assistance is required


Job Competencies
-  Microsoft and Adobe Suite – you are well-versed in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, inDesign, PowerPoint, Word
-  Speaking and Networking – you know how to present yourself and represent the organisation with professionalism and confidence
-  Leadership – you can communicate your ideas effectively, make well- thought decisions and lead others to a common goal
-  Facilitation – you can start and engage conversations in a group (Bonus: You have experience with and/or passion for youths)


Job Requirements
-  Full-time Student in a registered IHL institution (Bonus: TP-Design,
NTU-ADM, NTU-WKW)
-  Have some experience in leadership, public speaking, social work with
youths, or facilitating group discussions.
-  Interest in social issues (Eg. Migrant Worker Community in Singapore.)
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Bonus if able to speak Chinese, Tamil or Bengali fluently.
