Metalcool Pte Ltd is focused on providing customized solutions for its customers’ metalworking needs. Currently certified by the AS9100 standard, the company is able to demonstrate its commitment to quality and continual improvement to its quality management system.
The company is currently supporting many local and multi-national companies in Singapore from the aerospace, oil & gas, microelectronics and defence industries.
Founded and established in Singapore, Metalcool Pte Ltd was incorporated in 1996 as an approved distributor for the full range of products from Kennametal, Izar, Korloy, and Master Fluid Solutions, U.S.A. (previously known as Master Chemical Corporation). Recognizing that every customer has their individual needs, Metalcool also included the design and construction of customized coolant equipment, and the provision of coolant-recycling services to its line of products and services.
In 2010, Metalcool started their own line of metal cutting tools ‘Ezi-Cut’, together with tool reconditioning services. The production of metal cutting tools include standard and customised metal cutting tools that are not readily available in the market.
To provide assurance to customers, Metalcool has attained the Aerospace Standard 9100C to demonstrate its commitment and ability to provide total customer satisfaction with punctual quality products & services that meet customer specifications.
In June 2017, the Singapore Enterprise Association has awarded us with the Top 100 Trusted SMEs 2017 award.
Currently, Metalcool Pte Ltd has 3 5-axes CNC Grinding machines, 1 EWAG Semi-manual Grinding machine, and several supporting machines in our workshop. Additionally, we have a 5-axes CNC measuring machine from Zoller to ensure specifications of tools are met.
This position will provide exposure to a niche section of the Precision Engineering Manufacturing sector in Singapore. The manufacturing sector forms 20-25% of Singapore's GDP, with only a handful of companies in the business of metal cutting tool manufacturing.
As tool makers, our company designs and produces standard and special cutting tools used in machining processes such as milling, turning and drilling in a variety of industries (such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Semi-conductor industries). In addition to the manufacture of new tools, our company also deals with the reconditioning of used cutting tools to give the tools a new lease of life. This is in line with many large corporations practicing annual cost reduction programs, and also reduces the amount of disposal of waste material in the industry.
Applicants will have a hands-on experience in the pace and the workflow of the manufacturing processes.
Range of responsibilities include the following:
- Product Design (including production programs & drawings)
- Preparation of work orders and relevant documents
- Inspection of incoming raw materials (from vendors or customers' tools for reconditioning)
