The IC Head Office is at the HQ in Darmstadt, Germany, with America’s office in the Boston area, USA and an Asia-Pacific (APAC) offices in Singapore and Shanghai.


Job Description

Internship Program, Inhouse Consulting (IC):

The IC Internship Program offers an opportunity for high-potential professionals to gain insights into the work of an internal consultancy. Interns will be part of a broader team, working closely with IC senior consultants and associates, and with exposures to other parts of the business. Interns will contribute to a mix of strategic management consulting projects across the pharmaceutical, life science and performance materials industries, with steep learning curve.

There will a good amount of on-job learning as well through consulting projects, with high visibility across all management levels.

Candidates who complete the Internship Program successfully could be considered for the Global Graduate Program (GGP).

Who you are: 

Ideal candidates for the Internship Program should be a student enrolled in an advanced degree (Master or Ph.D.) in Science, Engineering or Business related studies. Candidates should enjoy working with teams and have a global mindset.

Candidates must have a demonstrated interest in business through coursework, professional experience, or previous internships.

Applicants should be prepared for behavioral and analytical business-case interviews.

 Required Qualifications

  • You are pursuing an advanced degree (Master or Ph.D.) in one of: Engineering, Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Business Administration, Economics or equivalent
  • Outstanding record of academic achievements
  • Other internship experience is an asset
  • You have very strong problem solving, analytical and excellent communication skills
  • You have experience using MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • You have a proactive and self-motivated mindset
  • You have a self-assured and confident personality
  • Fluent in English and an additional foreign language is an asset
