Job Description
The intern will work for Marriott’s Finance team based in the Singapore’s office to support the finance function in Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable
- Assist in payment process
- Follow up with external vendors on statement of accounts
- Accounts Receivables
- Assist in the preparation of invoices and matching of receipts
- Preparation and mailing of statement of accounts and reminders
- Balance Sheet
- Assist in the monthly reconciliation of bank accounts
- Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Assist in month end closing journal preparation
- Adhoc Tasks
- Filing and scanning of documents
- Retrieving of information for audit
- Extracting of reports from SAP
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
You should be a high-potential intern who is passionate, committed and keen to establish a career in the hospitality industry with the following attributes:
- Possess basic accounting knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in common Microsoft software, especially Excel and SUN.
- Meticulous and able to cope with pressure
- Team player
Qualification standard
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Accountancy Preferred.
Requirements
Singaporean, Singapore Permanent Resident Holder or valid student pass
Prepared to commit to a six months’ internship
Eligible for undergraduate in a Singapore registered university program
Grooming
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Marriott standards.
