The purpose of this position is to support the Director, Store Operations AMA in implementing and developing and maintaining reporting and conduct ongoing analysis. He/she works in close partnership with Retail partners in the region, IT and Finance.
He/she reports to the Director, Store Operations and supports the Head of Real estate and Franchise department with Retail analytics and reporting.
The Business Analyst Intern, Retail Store Operations is responsible for:
Business Analytics
• The role is project delivery focused and will support the development and implementation of Retail systems (traffic counters and retail analytics solutions, by capturing business needs, defining and analyzing requirements, liaising between business and technical resources, and coordinating during various project stages.
• Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate teams in the organization on the progress of the project
• Monitor systems usage and identify where changes to business process may be needed
Reporting
• Support the Regional Retail Team, incl Real Estate with performance
• Determine Retail business reporting requirements and desired outputs, develop reporting that monitors system impacts on KPI’s
• Key lead in data analytics; collect, analyze, and summarize systems data;
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve performance/results across KPI’s, present solutions/ recommendations to influence and drive business decisions.
Systems Administration
• Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
• Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures; providing help desk support; training users.
• Update system settings and configuration and test for effectiveness.
• Understand the downstream effects of configuration and system changes and communicate to impacted parties.
• Primary point of contact for field support.
Qualifications:
• Knowledge of basic Project Management methodology
• Exceptional analytical skills, including the ability to gather relevant data and information, actively listen, dialogue freely, verbalize ideas effectively, and present data.
• Proven presentation and facilitation skills.
• Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach; must be self-motivated, proactive, and flexible.
This is a part time internship position. Commitment of 6 months required, and 3 working days per week.
