Launchpad is a specialized educational consultancy dedicated to capacity building and change management. The company facilitates meaningful connections while offering professional development services, keynote presentations, and strategic guidance to optimize educational outcomes.
The Marketing Intern will assist in the creation, development, and execution of innovative marketing campaigns focused primarily on digital and social media platforms. Given LaunchPad's specialization in educational consultancy, the intern will gain exposure to marketing strategies specifically aimed at engaging students, educational institutions, and other stakeholders in the education ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities Include:
1. Campaign Planning and Execution
The intern supports the marketing team throughout all stages of campaign development—from brainstorming creative concepts to execution—ensuring alignment with LaunchPad's strategic goals for brand positioning. This includes drafting content calendars, scheduling posts, and assisting with paid advertising initiatives on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. The intern will collaborate closely with marketing managers to refine campaign concepts, tailoring messaging to resonate with prospective students seeking school placement and institutional clients looking for consultancy services.
2. Content Creation and Management
Creating compelling, relevant, and visually engaging content is central to this role. The intern is responsible for drafting copy for social media posts, promotional emails, blog entries, and newsletters that highlight LaunchPad's services, success stories, and educational insights. Additionally, the intern may assist in producing video content and graphic designs, often coordinating with the Creative/Videography intern to develop multimedia campaigns that effectively communicate LaunchPad’s value proposition.
3. Social Media Monitoring and Engagement
A key function is actively managing and monitoring LaunchPad's social media channels. This includes tracking engagement metrics, responding to comments and inquiries where appropriate, and identifying trending topics or hashtag opportunities relevant to education and student recruitment. Monitoring competitor activities and audience feedback allows the intern to support strategy adjustments to keep LaunchPad’s digital presence fresh and impactful.
4. Market and Competitor Research
The intern will conduct research on educational market trends, consumer behavior among students and parents, and competitor strategies. This research supports data-driven decision-making for campaign targeting and content development and helps to anticipate shifts in the education consultancy industry. Presenting findings to the marketing team and suggesting innovative approaches is part of this research role.
5. Analytics and Reporting
The role requires tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing initiatives using digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social media insights dashboards. The intern gathers data to evaluate the reach, engagement, and conversion of marketing efforts, compiling reports that inform future campaigns and demonstrate the return on investment.
6. Event Promotion Support
LaunchPad regularly organizes webinars, information sessions, and other educational events aimed at institutions and students. The intern will help promote these events through various marketing channels, create event announcements, manage registrations, and support virtual event day logistics. This duty provides valuable exposure to event marketing and coordination skills.
7. Administrative and Collaborative Support
Marketing interns assist in maintaining marketing materials, organizing digital assets, and updating the company’s CRM database with prospect and client information. They participate in brainstorming sessions, offering fresh ideas and creative solutions to enhance LaunchPad’s brand visibility and engagement. The ability to multitask, prioritize duties, and meet deadlines is essential.
