What is the job ?
Kpler is looking for a Market Analyst Intern within our Product Operations team based in Singapore. The role will involve ensuring high level of data quality through collection, processing and analysis of energy data. You will be required to follow the main events occurring in the energy markets and track the specific trends in the commodities markets. In addition, you will be working on various projects to develop new features or improve Kpler data quality. This will include day-to-day collaboration with teammates from various global offices and teams.
Key responsibilities:
• Daily checks of Kpler data to ensure reliability and accuracy of services provided
• Extract meaningful patterns and detect new trends
• Draft fast-response analysis to ad-hoc requests from users
• Regular reports and blasts, keeping track of energy market news

• You are soon graduating from university and you are looking for a 6-month experience in a tech startup
• You have an interest in the energy market (relative understanding/experience within the refined products market would be a plus)
• You demonstrate strong capabilities in logical thinking with attention to details
• You have experience working with large, disparate and/or unstructured data sets (Python, advanced Excel skills and some VBA, SQL)
• You have an excellent analytical ability, at ease with working with databases, ability to highlight trends and use complex data to support decisions
• You are a team player, quick learner, and able to work within short deadlines across multiple tasks
