Job Description

The intern will be working on 2 key Programs: 

  • Supplier Consolidation Effort, as part of Clean-Sheet program (time allocation = 60%)
  • Regional IFM (Integrated Facilities Management) Tender Process - (time allocation = 25%)
  • Develop sourcing strategies and drive initiatives for the assigned services (Courier services and Credit card) – (time allocation = 15%)


General Responsibilities 

Supplier Consolidation

  • Perform spend analysis by category, and be able to access/use SAP
  • Identify incorrect supplier classification, one-time-used vendor and opportunity to establish a clean preferred supplier by category in each country, in collaboration with country procurement buyers
  • Map vendor’s contract compliance.
  • Have a follow-up call with country procurement team and provide a bi-monthly report on progress

Regional IFM (Integrated Facilities Management) Tender Process:

  • Work closely with key functions like Country Procurement and Facilities managers/leads in APAC country’s mills and offices.
  • Liaise with K-C RCM, external consultant and KC functions on data collection.
  • Analyze project data from all APAC sites and contribute in sourcing strategies, tenders preparation and process.

Develop sourcing strategies and drive initiatives for the assigned goods and services (Courier services and Credit card):

  • Perform spend analysis by category, and be able to access/use SAP
  • Conduct current model and benchmark against industry
  • Carry out cost analysis and comparisons to develop opportunities in short and long term
  • Develop procurement strategy and conduct competitive bidding process


Requirements

  • Preferably with 2-3 years of work experiences/exposures dealing with external vendors and APAC countries
  • Basic experience in SAP
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and learn on the fly. Self-directed and motivated
  • Strong communications and project management skill
  • Experienced in using Microsoft office; especially in Excel and Powerpoint is a must
  • Ability to multi-task and work with diverse countries in APAC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill Fluent in English.  Having a second Asian language would be highly beneficial
