Company Profile

As Singapore’s first comprehensive financial planning company

IPP was founded as a financial advisory company in 1983 by Wee Tiong Howe, at the time a leading distribution manager of a multinational insurance company.

Staffed with the most professionally and academically qualified financial planning and life insurance professional advisers in Singapore and the region, IPP quickly grew to become a renowned and trusted financial advisory.

In 1986, the Securities Industry Act was introduced in Singapore. Two years later, IPP gained its Investment Adviser License, becoming one of the first non-bank licensed investment advisers. Following the introduction in 2002 of the Financial Advisers Act (FAA) to provide a legal framework for an integrated license for advisory services in life insurance and securities, the IPP businesses were integrated into a complete financial planning business.

As an independently owned Licensed Financial Adviser, IPP quickly grew to become one of the leading financial advisory businesses in Singapore and the region. In 2006, IPP acquired the necessary dealing and advisory licenses to deal in securities and life insurance with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
