Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW

To provide research and analytical support in various development activities by working closely with the divisional and regional offices to assist the Development team achieve its growth objectives


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists in the compilation of research material in relation to a specific project or more generally about the hospitality industry.
Assist in the preparation of presentations or RFP about IHG’s brands.
Be responsible for putting a model together to map out and track opening of competitive new hotels throughout the Europe, Middle East Asia & Australasia region.
Assist in preparing the STR Pipeline Database Report on a quarterly basis
Respond to ad hoc reporting, case studies and presentations requests, as required
Opportunities to be involved with IHG Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, as appropriate


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education

Undergraduate in Business Management, Finance or Hospitality, preferably in their final year of undergrad studies

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Interest in the hospitality industry
  • Conscientious with an eye for details
  • Proactive and works with a sense of purpose and urgency
  • Desire to learn and be challenged to learn new skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word applications
  • Ability to work on projects independently
  • Confidence generating new ideas or ways to approach work assigned
  • Good project management skills, organized and communicates progress
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and an ability to flex style
  • Team Player
