As the video editor, your role will involve the production and post-production aspects of video making. You should have a strong interest in excelling in creative media and working with various mediums within film, motion graphics and animation. You should be proficient with mainstream video editing and animation software and deliver commercial ready projects. You may be involved on set in various roles to ensure smooth take over of footage and assets.
Responsibilities and duties
- Edit documentary edits for events
- Edit scripted interviews and talkshows
- Edit corporate videos
- Edit marketing digital video assets
- Edit motion graphic videos
- Able to adapt vector or raster assets for videos
- Work with the production team and director to understand the editing requirements
- Manage editing schedule to ensure datelines are met
Qualifications and Skills
- Preferably Creative Art related diploma or certification
- Prefer at least 1 year of experience in video editing, fresh grads welcome too
- Skilled in softwares needed for video editing. Our company uses Final Cut Pro, and Adobe suite such as Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Comfortable to use Adobe after effects for supers and effects in corporate video.
- Have a good art sense of piecing audio and visual to create beautiful video.
- Team player, able to work with team mates and able to work independently.
- Patient and able to handle stress
Experience preferred in any of the following softwares:
- Final Cut Pro / Motion
- Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effect
- Davinci Resolve
