Job Description

The intern will help with the general duties of the newsdesk including searching and writing on stories with links to the chemicals/petrochemicals/energy industry such as new deals between companies, start-ups/shutdowns of plants, economic data such as import and export information as well as GDP forecasts, new acquisitions/mergers of companies, reports by research firms and brokerages, central bank and IPO annoucements, stock exchange filings, new governmental tariffs (tax), policy and regulation, environmental disasters and bad weather reports, health issues and even protests.

The intern will also be required to help edit news stories.
