Job Description

Internship Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic HR Executive Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, real-world experience in various HR functions. You will work closely with experienced HR professionals on impactful projects that support our employees and business objectives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about people operations and considering a career in Human Resources.

Key Learning Objectives & Responsibilities

Under the guidance of our HR team, you will assist with and learn about:

  • Talent Acquisition Support:

    • Assist with posting job descriptions on various career platforms.

    • Screen resumes and help schedule interviews with candidates.

    • Sit in on interviews (where appropriate) and participate in debrief sessions.

    • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing welcome kits and coordinating orientation schedules.

  • HR Administration & Operations:

    • Help maintain and update employee records in our HR Information System (HRIS).

    • Learn about compliance and assist with audits of HR files and documents.

    • Draft internal communications and announcements.

    • Assist with the offboarding process for departing employees.

  • Employee Engagement & Culture:

    • Contribute to planning and executing employee engagement events and initiatives.

    • Help administer employee engagement or pulse surveys and compile results.

    • Support our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

  • Projects & Analytics:

    • Conduct research on HR best practices, market trends, or benchmarking.

    • Assist with compiling data and creating reports on key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire).

    • Participate in a capstone project focused on a real HR challenge, presenting your findings to the team at the end of your internship.
