Job Description

We are going through a rapid growth phase and hence would like to hire an Analyst (Intern) who has recently graduated and is seeking exposure to the energy and O&G industry. 

The Individual will undergo a 2-3 months internship with Galway Group. Post completion of the internship, depending on the candidate's performance and the requirements of the company, a full-time position within the firm may be offered.

General Description:

  1. Assist the various Galway Group offices in preparing techno-commercial proposals and end-to-end handling of public tenders.
  2. Participate in energy consulting assignments by conducting secondary research from available sources.
  3. Assist in conducting research for developing inputs for technical, commercial and economic models.
  4. Assist in the preparation of deliverables concerning the commercial, economic and regulatory aspects of the energy industry.
  5. Update internal energy industry databases using primary and secondary research methods.
  6. Assist team members in the preparation of project as well as conference presentations.


Requirements

  1. At least a 2.1, or equivalent, Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering (postgraduate degree advantageous);
  2. Excellent proficiency in MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel (knowledge of VBA is a plus);
  3. Strong mathematical, analytical, research, comprehension and quantitative skills;
  4. Financial / economic modeling skills a plus;
  5. Excellent verbal and written English and one or more foreign languages (preferred but not required);
  6. Ability to handle diverse projects and work with teams across geographies/time zones;
  7. Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  8. Excellent time management and organization skills.
