Gaia Living is a boutique furniture and homewares store that opened it's doors in February of 2012. We specialize in hand crafted furniture, lighting and home decor items that are unusual, unique and utilize natural materials. As a new business we recognize how important image, marketing and our web presence is. We are looking for an intern to undertake projects centered around enhancing our web site, social media activities and creating and producing marketing materials. The successful candidate will work closely with the business owner and our marketing consultant and will assist in the marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and market presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



• Design/Creation of the communication collaterals (flyers, brochures, advertising banners)



• Daily management of the company’s presence on blogs and social networks like Facebook & Twitter



• Editing/creating marketing materials and images.


We are looking for a creative, self-motivated individual with the following qualities:

• Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Able to work independently, resourceful, efficient, willing to learn with a strong sense of responsibility.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,

• Excellent English skills (both verbal and written)

• Detail-oriented and organized.

• Knowledge in web analytics and SEO is an advantage

• Regular user of social networks and blogs

• Background in design and photography

• Shows initiative and enjoys working within an entrepreneurial environment.
