Job Description

Job Overview: 

The Management Trainee (Kitchen Operations and Digitalisation Intern) will assist the kitchen team in food preparation, kitchen management, and workflow optimisation through digital tools. The role provides exposure to back-of-house operations and introduces students to digitalisation in production planning, inventory tracking, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in food preparation, including sauces, seasoning, and ingredients under supervision. 
  • Support kitchen operations at various stations (wet and dry). 
  • Operate kitchen equipment (e.g., grill, fryer) safely and efficiently. 
  • Learn and assist with inventory management using digital tools or software. 
  • Observe and contribute to workflow and process improvement initiatives. 
  • Maintain hygiene and food safety standards as per company and regulatory requirements. 
  • Perform ad-hoc duties or support the Head Chef in kitchen management tasks.

Learning Outcomes: 

  • Understand the operational workflow of a professional kitchen. 
  • Apply digital tools to manage inventory, productivity, and kitchen efficiency. 
  • Develop foundational skills in food preparation and kitchen management.
