Exponent Global – Junior Shipping Executive

Salary: SGD 2000 - 2500
Contract to Perm position.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute day-to-day shipping operations including packaging materials, delivery schedules, transport booking, documentation dispatch and other related matters.
• Prepare shipping documentation timely and accurately according to customer’s requirements. Upload shipping documents into customer’s online portal.
• Track, monitor and manage service performance of external vendors (ie. metal boxes delivery, shipment transit time).
• Communicate on daily basis with customers and vendors on shipment related matters.
• Check and verify vendor’s billing for payment purposes.
• Analyze shipping data and trends, identify operational gaps and execute improvement opportunities.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks and project support, if required.

Requirements

• Min 1 year of relevant experience in Freight Forwarding / Logistics industry. Fresh graduates welcomed.
• Basic knowledge on ocean freight shipment documentation and processes preferred. 
• Willing to learn and work in a team environment.
• Equipped with stakeholder management and problem solving skills
• Able to think critically to derive practical process improvements initiatives through data analytics.
• Able to work independently in fast paced working environment under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in MS office applications particularly Excel.
