Company Profile

Entrepreneur First is Europe’s leading pre-seed deep tech investor. Supported by Infocomm Investments we have just launched our first programme in Singapore in September 2016. We help the world's most ambitious computer scientists and engineers build companies from scratch. We select purely on the basis of technical talent, so you can apply before you have a team or an idea. Our intensive 6-month programme is designed to give you the best possible support in the first 100 days of your startup’s life. The 50 companies we’ve built so far are now worth over S$500 million, and have raised investment from some of the most prestigious investors in the world including Index Ventures, Balderton Capital and Y Combinator.

Job Description

As part of the team in Singapore, you’ll be responsible from day one. One day you’ll work with Singapore’s most prominent founders and investors, but another day you will be speaking to a room full of aspiring founders in a university somewhere in Asia. There is very little hierarchy, and you are encouraged to work on projects that you find exciting. The Expansion Team finds the top technical talent all over Asia to join our programme. In general, your responsibilities include:

Global expansion strategy: Support the EF talent team in our global expansion operations, with tasks ranging from emailing potential applicants to looking into data from selected asian countries in order to shape EF's expansion strategy. Essentially, you will be finding the next entrepreneur who can build a billion dollar company before he even realises that.

Research: Find evidence to support expansion efforts into potential regions, which could include online research, speaking to startup founders and investors in these regions.

Business trips: Plan, source and coordinate business trips to other parts of Asia. Exceptional interns also have the opportunity to travel to various Asian countries to speak to potential applicants and run recruitment events at the local universities.

Event Management: EF runs a lot of dinners and events for the most promising founders, and you’ll be responsible for everything from invitations to ensuring the day runs smoothly on or off site.
