Job Description

HR Associate (Internship)

About Embed Financial Group Holdings (EFGH)

Embed Financial Group Holdings (EFGH) is a growing insurance technology start-up based in Singapore. We support people who are underinsured or have limited access to financial services by offering protection, easier access to credit, and technology-driven solutions. Our mission is to make financial stability a part of everyday life.

As a start-up, we value innovation, flexibility, and teamwork. We foster an environment where new ideas are encouraged, and every team member is empowered to take ownership and make a meaningful impact.

The Role

As a HR Associate (Internship), you will work closely with the Chief People Officer to support the full spectrum of HR activities in a fast-growing start-up environment.

This role offers hands-on exposure to end-to-end HR processes, from day-to-day execution to building foundational people practices. Given our size and growth, you will have the opportunity to own workstreams, see the direct impact of your contributions, and be actively involved in enabling the growth of the organisation.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys execution, thrives in ambiguity, and wants tangible, real-world HR experience beyond observation.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Assist with recruitment management, including scheduling interviews and maintaining lifecycle tracking to ensure we deliver the best people experience.
  • Assist with people data tracking, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Participate in HR/Organisational Development (OD) projects across performance management, engagement and organisational development.
  • Identify uplift projects around process gaps and support improvements to drive people effectiveness and employee experience.
  • Help maintain HR documentation, policies, and employee records to ensure governance.
  • Support basic payroll, benefits administration, and vendor coordination.
  • Resolve issues, unblock tasks, and support leaders and colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with Google Workspace, Canva and enabling technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.

Nice to Have

  • Basic understanding of HR concepts or prior HR internship experience.
  • Familiarity with HR systems or simple workflow tools.
  • Interest in start-ups, scaling organisations, or people effectiveness and delivery.
  • Adapt with data, trackers, analytics and reporting.

Who You Are

  • Execution-focused, hands-on, and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and willing to figure things out as you go.
  • Curious about how organisations grow and how people practices enable that growth.
  • Someone who takes ownership and follows through.
