Job Description

End User Computing Specialists will configure, install, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for the corporate clients as well as remote users.

These Specialists will provide technical support to the clients with a goal to maximize user productivity provided with end user client computing technologies.

This position is client-facing service focused and represents a crucial contact point to the end user community.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose client computing problems through troubleshooting skills, logic, research, and isolation steps.
  • Record all client inquiries, from initial call to incident resolution.
  • Coordinate entire support incident for the client, ensuring world class service.
  • Maintain current and orderly systems documentation and update as necessary.
  • Configure, support and perform routine maintenance of hardware and software for desktops (PC/Laptop) and servers.
  • Install and upgrade software.
  • Manage orderly rollout of operating system security patching on a regular cycle using automated tools.
  • Maintain records of hardware, software and network inventory.
  • Become proficient in the software tools utilized by the deskside support team
  • Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems, e-mail, Internet, copier and local-area network access problems
  • Assists in creating documentation materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs).
  • Configure approved end-user mobile devices for connectivity to system and troubleshoot basic communication issues.
