Job Description

About the role – As an intern within the planning team, you will help to lead the brands in strategy development, from writing the brief to being a source of knowledge and inspiration. You will:

  • Develop and present strategic thinking clearly and convincingly, in a manner that is easy to comprehend for any audience
  • Work closely with the team to put together a cohesive plan across multiple touch points, from concept to execution, traditional to mobile
  • Analyze and assess the effectiveness of your advertising, and whether it works
  • Continually strive to develop fresh insight and original thinking which value adds to the brief and work
  • Adapt your method of communication to suit the needs of different audiences

You are 'nice and grounded', as with the rest of us DDB-ers, and strive to work in a helpful environment and produce good work.

Specific deliverables

Exploration: Be on the constant lookout for market trends, competitive activity, best-in-class digital and social case studies that keep our teams and clients abreast with what’s going on.

Strategy development: Receive and interrogate briefs from clients. Using modern research techniques e.g. social media monitoring as well as traditional techniques e.g. focus groups, create insights which lead to clear strategies that address client briefs and inspire creative teams.

Creative development: Work with creative teams to ensure that ideas developed are on brief.

Campaign execution / optimisation: Constantly monitor campaign progress and recommend ways in which the campaign could be improved.
