The successful candidate will be part of the Regional Corporate Legal Department. He/she will help coordinate regional corporate legal matters and will assist with the management of Danone’s joint ventures/partnerships in the Asia Pacific region.
In particular, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- coordinating corporate secretarial and corporate finance matters of Danone’s holding companies and joint venture companies in Asia Pacific;
- preparing and following up on corporate/legal documentation of Danone's partnerships, (including agenda of meetings etc.) placing particular attention on the management of the calendar of general meetings and board of directors meetings by ensuring that all deadlines are respected;
- assisting on signing, closing and post-completion matters in connection with M&A transactions and drafting summaries of closed M&A transactions;
- monitoring change of laws with a potential impact on Danone’s business in the region; and
- assisting in the management and organization of projects for the Regional Corporate Legal Department, including process improvement projects; liaising with relevant internal stakeholders for such projects.
The duration of the internship is flexible but should be for a minimum of 6 months. The preference is for a full time intern but part-time may be considered.
The candidate should meet the following requirements:
- the candidate should hold, or be in the final year of completion of, an undergraduate or postgraduate law degree with a university in Singapore and have demonstrated strong academic performance
- no prior experience is required but any prior experience working in a law firm or an in-house legal department will be looked upon favourably
- an excellent level of English (both spoken and written) is required and the command of an Asian language will be considered a plus
- the candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in corporate/commercial law
- the candidate should be dynamic, possess outstanding interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to work in team and to adapt in a multicultural work environment
