Collaro Classic Menswear is a retail start-up founded by 2 SMU alumnis with the goal of making quality custom menswear accessible to the everyday man - men of all shapes and sizes. Having established both an offline and online presence, we provide a wide range of product lines at our studio while our online platform currently allows customers to purchase custom shirts.
We’re very proud that almost all our products are made in Singapore, and our vision is to sell to various international markets. With the support of SMU’s incubator programme, and having just been selected for Southeast Asia’s first of its kind “The Bridge Fashion Incubator” led by TaFf, we aim to accelerate our growth in the near future and build a global Singapore brand in the long term.
Some of the key tasks you’ll tackle during your internship:
Day to day
Create and provide a safe, welcoming and comfortable customer experience, and occasionally suggest how we can tweak our studio space and ambience to achieve this goal
For the customer-facing aspect of your role, you can expect to greet customers, answer their questions, suggest items and fabrics where appropriate, and provide product information
You’ll also be taking the body measurements and shirt measurements of the customers, and this is a key requirement of your job
For the operational aspect of your role, you’ll need to process orders on a daily basis, monitor incoming products, ensure that production is on track and buy supplies where necessary
You’ll also be responsible for responding to customer queries via our various communication channels
Key one-off projects
Co-develop and execute a new international expansion strategy, which includes reaching out to both International influencers and potential customers, and getting them on board
Occasionally work on ad-hoc special projects as required by the team, such as hosting an event for a club
For us to bring you onboard, you’ll need to:
Be able to speak fluently in English, and be able to communicate well with people of different ages
Be able to work 5 days a week (one of them a Saturday), totalling 45 hours (exclude lunch and dinner breaks)
Develop an understanding of what the brand stands for and be aligned with our aesthetic
Hardworking, flexible and resourceful, one who’s able to work with limited resources
Be responsible, and have a "no task too small“ mentality
