Job Description

CNBC is first in business worldwide, with a strong presence on television, the internet, and social media channels across the globe. Our Asia headquarters are in Singapore, where we produce nearly ten hours of live TV programming every weekday, along with news and in-depth content forcnbc.com, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

  • For the television side, interns are an integral part of operations.
  • They work with the various show teams (Rundown, Squawk Box, Street Signs, Capital Connection) to help build up-to-the-minute newscasts.
  • It’s a fast-paced, high pressure environment where seconds and minutes can make the difference between breaking a story or being beaten by the competition.
  • Our interns work a variety of shifts, some starting as early as 3:00am, to help create elements for the various rundowns, from video images to sound bites to lower third graphics.
  • They are supervised by the News Assistants, but have plenty of opportunities to interact with more senior members of the teams and even, once they master their role, file short stories forcnbc.com.
  • It’s a job that will teach and show them how a highly-successful newsroom operates.
  • They will learn more about financial news, international news, and the working world in general.
  • They will walk away with invaluable experience that will help them as they continue their studies or start their careers
