Job Description

The Job Descriptions of the 2 interns are for Marketing, Outreach, Counselling & Social Work:

COMMUNITY YOUTH OUTREACH PROGRAM INTERN

  • Attracting Youth at Risk and volunteers for COF activities
  • Recruitment of volunteers from industry, schools, universities or the community, as well as management of the volunteer database
  • Supporting Marketing Executive in fundraising, networking, and promotion initiatives 
  • Organising COF activities and training events (planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and training programs, managing events, sourcing suppliers and trainers, measure program effectiveness and offer suggestions for improvements)
  • General administrative works
  • Comply with all relevant SOPs
  • Expectations: organised, reliable, thorough, working well within the deadlines, attention to detail, team-player, communication, negotiation, creative, 44 hrs work week, may be required to work on weekends during events.


MARKETING and SOCIAL WORK INTERN

  • Fundraising (planning and executing fundraising efforts and activities, assisting in events/ projects) 
  • Public Relations / Communications (targeting prospective donors/supporters, creating marketing material incl. a quarterly newsletter)
  • Account management (building relationship with Youth at Risk donors, supporters and partners, managing donors’ database and regular communications via correspondence/networking)
  • Attracting Youth at Risk and volunteers for COF activities
  • Support staff in COF marketing and communication initiatives
  • Identifying innovative incubator projects (research, feedback, market survey) and selection, induction and training of suitable candidates (Youth at Risk) for those projects
  • Finding investors and other stakeholders (public and/ or private), building relationships with them and formulating the agreements with them for the incubator project (e.g. MOU)
  • Befriending, coaching and mentoring of the Youth at Risk
  • Facilitating successful transition from incubator to SME
  • Follow-up with the SME and offering guidance
  • General administrative works
  • Comply with all relevant SOPs
  • Expectations: focus, communication, strong people skills (extrovert), negotiation and persuasion, team-player, creative, experience with social media, 44 hrs work week, may be required to work on weekends during events.
