We are a startup working on projects for the automotive industry. We are looking for enthusiastic, bright, well informed, and organized individuals with a passion for automobiles and the automotive industry.
The candidate will be responsible for working with the design team to verify component designs, utilizing Solidworks CAD, 3D printed prototypes, and manual tools, ensuring all parts conform to the specifications.
Job Description
- Verification of systems and components for both new and existing products, to ensure the required standards are met for manufacturing, assembly and quality
- Using Solidworks CAD to verify parts conformance to specifications (measurements, design, fitment)
- Export files from Solidworks for 3D Printing
- 3D printing of prototype parts
- Verification of 3D prototypes against specifications
- Testing each component to ensure design, fit, finish, integrity and fitment to existing components
- Provide recommendations to Design Team for future components
- Skills Required:
- Relevant Mechanical or Electrical engineering knowledge
- Experience with CAD tools, specifically Solidworks CAD
- Ability to produce supporting documentation as required
- Experience with 3D printing and ability to print 3D parts and assemblies
- Ability to evaluate design alternatives and provide a recommendation based on data at hand and risk assessment
- Good organizational skills, able to juggle multiple priorities, task and meet deadlines
- Proactive, and action oriented, focused on solutions to issues
- Work efficiently and productively in independent and team settings
- Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
