Founded in 2005 by Managing Director Jocelyn Little and Creative Director Donovan Chan, Beach House Pictures (BHP) has built a reputation for creating exciting and original factual content that is watched around the world. To date, BHP has produced over 600 hours of international 4K, UHD, HD, 3D and S3D content across the entire spectrum of the factual genre including: travel, food, science, lifestyle, history, observational docs and natural history.
BHP has produced a wide range of highly-rated series such as First Man Out for Discovery International and Frontier Borneo for Discovery Channel and UKTV, Singapore Wild City narrated by Sir David Attenborough for Channel News Asia, Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 for Fox Starworld, MasterChef Singapore for Singapore Channel 5 and China from Above, Cesar’s Recruit Asia and Machine Impossible for National Geographic.
Headquartered in Singapore, BHP has expanded to Taipei, Taiwan and Beijing, China. In addition to its factual productions BHP’s five other divisions have expanded its capabilities into children’s content with Beach House Kids which recently produced Teddies and Kooki’s Crafty Show for Okto and Channel Nine Australia; Beach House Entertainment for reality formats and general entertainment programs; Beach House Labs for digital and branded content; Beach House Academy for skills training and education; and Beach House Studios for Virtual Reality, 3D, animation and broadcast design. BHP’s Studios division recently made history by piloting Singapore’s first curriculum-based VR lesson plan for Primary 4 students, together with Singapore’s Ministry of Education, IMDA and Samsung.
BHP is a multiple award winner, with over 70 prestigious awards and commendations in Asia and Internationally including multiple wins in the Asian Television Awards and the New York Festival Awards. BHP is the only company in Asia to have been voted three times (2016, 2017, 2018) into the widely respected Global 100 list of the world’s most innovative and influential production companies by Realscreen magazine.
