Job Description

The Service Crew / Barista will provide exceptional guest service in a hotel restaurant setting, ensuring a memorable dining and beverage experience. This role combines F&B service, coffee preparation, and operational support while upholding the hotel’s standards of quality, hygiene, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Welcome guests warmly and provide professional, friendly service.

  • Take orders accurately and assist guests with menu selections.

  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism.

  • Ensure guests have an enjoyable dining and beverage experience.

Barista / Beverage Service

  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to hotel standards.

  • Maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment in clean, good working condition.

  • Suggest beverage pairings and upsell menu items when appropriate.

  • Monitor coffee inventory and communicate supply needs to supervisors.

Food & Operational Support

  • Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently.

  • Assist in setting up and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the restaurant and service areas.

  • Support opening and closing procedures, including restocking supplies.

  • Handle POS transactions accurately and process payments when required.

Compliance & Standards

  • Follow hotel SOPs, health, hygiene, and food safety protocols.

  • Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance according to hotel standards.

  • Adhere to service quality and brand standards at all times.

Teamwork & Other Duties

  • Work closely with kitchen, bar, and restaurant teams to ensure smooth operations.

  • Assist in training junior staff or new team members when required.

  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

  • Previous F&B or hospitality experience preferred; barista experience highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso machines, and beverage preparation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Service-oriented attitude with a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Team player with good organizational and multitasking skills.
