International Paint - Marine Coatings
Our Global Headquarters is based in Singapore with 6 key sites worldwide. In Singapore, we occupy 2 key facilities; the state-of-the-art Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) Laboratory Facilities in Tuas and the Production Plant in Neythal where we produce essential coatings for fouling control and are the technology leader in coatings that are abrasion, chemical and impact resistant, for vessels being built, repaired or maintained.

AkzoNobel seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing communications efforts for the marine coatings business. The focus of the position will be on migration of the company website to a new platform and focus on social media. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for well-known multinational company.
This internship will allow the student to bring their classroom knowledge into a professional work setting and broaden their knowledge through hands-on application. This will also include interacting with people from several departments across the world.
Responsibilities:
Assist in website migration project to a new platform
Gathering content from various sources, including the current website, external websites, and word documents
Assigning images and other metadata to pages
Uploading images and documents
Assist in developing social media content (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.)
Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications
Qualifications:
Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Suite). Knowledge of HTML and graphic design (InDesign or Photoshop) is a plus
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space
Openness to learning and growing within the internship experience
Ideal candidate is an undergraduate/graduate student in public relations, marketing, communications, digital communication for business development. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented, organized and creative and possess a professional work ethic and be enthusiastic to gain new knowledge.
