Assistant Horticulturist
Job Description
Provide detailed reports to the Horticulturist on landscape maintenance matters, covering trees, palms, shrubs, groundcovers and aquatic plants
Support the development and execution of a maintenance plan in line with international standards for gold course landscapes
Manage and control the budget for landscape maintenance and projects effectively
Plan, organize, schedule, deploy and train the Course Superintendent, workshop & equipment team, groundsmen and landscape course supervisors
Assist in tree inspection across the property to ensure health and aesthetic appeal
Assist with administrative tasks for the horticulture and turf departments
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Horticulture, Landscape, Biology or equivalent
Experience
2 years of relevant experience in horticulture
Experience in event plant display, both with real and artificial plants
Skills & Knowledge
Possess knowledge and experience in landscape and design
Good botanical knowledge
Proactive
Eyes for details
Good Communication Skills
Proficient in MS word and Excel
Possess leadership qualities with good interpersonal skill
