Job Title: Translator
- Reads through or listens to marketing material in oEnglish, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converts it into simplified Chinese, making sure to preserve the original meaning
- Translates online, video, and print media by providing subtitles
- Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialised concepts and translate them appropriately
- Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation
- Able to works on a freelance or part-time basis
Translator Skills and Qualifications
Attained (or pursuing) a Bachelor's Degree, Fluency in English and Chinese, Written and Verbal Communication, Understanding of Grammar, Accuracy, Attention to Detail, Motivation, Ability to Meet Deadlines, Ability to Work Under Pressure
