Job Description

Accountability Statement/Summary 
As part of the Regional E-Commerce team, which was newly set up in 2024 with the mandate to build a sustainable channel for A. Menarini Asia-Pacific, the Regional E-Commerce Digital Marketing Intern is responsible for driving E-Commerce sales volume across key lead markets. S/he has to ensure operational excellence in digital merchandising, which involves collating best practices and translating them into conversion-driving local executions, specifically targeting the optimization of EC A+ content and social commerce strategy. Furthermore, the role is accountable for providing data-driven strategic support and ensuring seamless project execution across complex, cross-functional business initiatives. 

This is a hands-on role, which requires agility and a curious mind to excel in this internship.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the growth of A. Menarini E-Commerce business in Asia Pacific at a time when the company is increasing investments to future proof a strategic channel for the future.

 

Key Learning Outcomes / Key Project Milestones:

• Consumer engagement to scale E-Commerce sales

Collate best practices for Digital Commerce campaigns and EC A+ conversion-driving content.

Optimize Social Commerce & MarketPlace stores and product listings.

Key Projects:

1. Desktop research report: deep dive into lead markets’ shoppers’ behaviors, trends and best practices for Digital Commerce campaigns. (monthly)

2. Content Development: propose and develop EC A+ content for new product launches and content enhancements of existing products (1 refresh every 6 months).

3. Store & product listing audits: based on guidelines (existing + propose new) and follow through with market PICs (quarterly)

 

• Commercial acumen

Generate data-driven insights and understand how that translate into decisions to drive commercial outcomes. Understanding the strategies applied in a competitive environment.

Key Projects:

1. Insights Generation: develop insights on a monthly basis from internal Power BI and third party dashboards and recommend action plan for the lead markets. (monthly)

 

• Business management skills

Experience how strategic investments and operational excellence’s impact on the E-Commerce business.

Gain understanding on how to market a product in an ethical environment.

Key Projects:

1. Attend meetings with local EC leads / enablers.

2. Propose tweaks to operational plan (investment allocation, promotion mechanics) based on data & analytics, which is in line with the local regulations. (weekly/monthly)

3. Support China cross border e-commerce (CBEC) on campaigns.

 

• Stakeholder Management

Work with key stakeholders across the organization including marketing, medical, regulatory in the regional office and key countries and external stakeholders such as vendors.

Coordination and facilitation of different crucial elements of a business plan execution.

Preferred Profile:

• Undergraduate students of Business/Marketing

• Well verse in Excel, PowerPoint, video and image editing software

• Strong data & analytic skills

• Enjoys online shopping, well versed in Shopee/Lazada/Tik Tok mobile apps

• Strong interest in influencer marketing

• Excellent communication skills

• Able to thrive despite challenges while adopting a positive attitude under pressure

• Able to work both individually and as a team player

• Self-motivated and self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a sense of confidentiality

• Possesses cross-cultural awareness and high emotional intelligence

• Articulate, deadline-driven, flexible with self-reliance to work in an empowered environment

• Strong desire to learn along with a strong sense of ownership.

• Prior experience in a pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare organization will be an added advantage
